Good morning! I know you must be deadly curious about what’s going on in my life *ahum*.

In the unfiltered version I could talk about the fact that Joran’s stepmom died, about visiting my grandmother in the hospital this week and the fact that I lost my job (because, my employer died, see my first point).

But you know, I don’t really want to talk about it. So I won’t.

I contemplated deleting that first paragraph. But I will keep it in. For the sake of keeping this blog real.

Just because some parts of life suck, doesn’t mean you can’t see the rainbow in things.

I like that phrase. If it doesn’t exist as an adage, I claim it.

So let’s talk about other, less gloomy things instead. I don’t have pictures of cute puppies but I do have a happy picture of me smiling, while I’m just chilling with my old pal King Louie. I’ll post it above. But really, I just wanted to show off my turquoise headphones with this picture.

Also, I’m conducting this super scientific, top secret experiment. It involves testing different brands of balloons for an equally or perhaps even more secret project idea. This is just the preparation. If it works, it’s going to be awesome. And then, you will hear about it of course. If it doesn’t work, this picture never happened.

How glamorous is my golden nail polish on a scale from 1 to 10? I know, like a 100.

I have glasses now. I used to wear contact lenses but then I switched to glasses a couple of weeks back. I still can’t get used to the fact that they become a misted blur every time I walk into a warm room after being outside in the cold. Other than that I like them. Also I do like the fact that they form a protection shield for my not-so-waterproof-mascara.

I want to tell you about something I have been working on behind the scenes.

I’m planning on launching a really fun and inspiring digital product.

It’s gonna contain 1001 ideas, so you’ll never run out of any. It’s like the ultimate printable idea source to a fun, inspiring, productive and awesome life. I already have a great amount of lists. They contain ideas that will help you live a more playful life, ideas for what questions to ask in a really boring conversation, party ideas, ideas for creating a more magical life, and many, many other ideas.

It won’t be a dull long list of typed ideas. Nope. I’ll make it into a collection of visually inspiring pages. Imagine the picture above with a fun idea on every paint tin. And then like a 1000 of them. Well not tins necessarily, but ideas, on different fun pages.

Anyway, this is the point where I ask for your input.

Is there any list I should include? Anything you wished you had more inspiration or ideas about? Any problem you face in your everyday life that you wish you could make more fun? Then this is your chance to still influence my creative process. I might just make your wish into an idea category in my booklet.

Did I mention this is going to be awesome? And I’m really excited about it? I’ll keep you up to date on the progress. I already have like 600 ideas ready + so many ideas for fun page layouts.

So sorry to hear about your difficult life situations. There’s nothing wrong with being real about the troubles you have. Best wishes for finding a new job.

I’m looking forward to seeing your new project! I don’t have any ideas, but I’m excited for yours : )

I’m looking forward to your book! Anyway: how to make travelling by train everyday to work more fun? Sometimes I try to make a small conversation, but most of the time it’s just very boring.

That’s a good one. I already have a list of things to do when you’re stuck in traffic, but I might have a look at boring train routines as well ;)

Love your glasses and the picture of King Louie!

I wish I had a switch that I could flip on those days when not making money making art is getting me down. I know deep down that the creative process is what matters, but there are times in this creative life when I need to be reminded of why art matters and how significant it is to others and myself even when it is NOT paying the bills.

Please don’t lose hope Joyce! I understand what you’re saying, completely. But don’t be discouraged. We all have our own paths to walk. Progress is often slow, but it is there. Focus on creating true value, time and time again, and eventually money will follow. Have hope. I have hope for you, as i have hope for me (but it can be scary as hell, I know).

Hi, I’m sorry to hear about how life has been going for you that’s a lot going on at once.
I really like that rainbow adage, and as far as creating a digital inspiration packet that is an amazing idea!!!
All of your idea posts have been really inspiring and you have covered so many things that I didn’t even consider I can wait to see what you come up with visually :)
