Just a small inspirational reminder.

I have definitely been high on the creative side lately. I’m working on new paintings (will share soon!), concepts and exciting plans. I feel like I could do better on the play scale though. Sometimes when I feel like there are too many things I want to do in a short amount of time, I block my playtime. I get anxious and playing starts to feel like being unproductive. I’m scared to waste time and I stop playing altogether. That’s not pretty, because all the best things come from your playtime. It’s the heart of magic making: no magic without play.

That being said, you can’t expect yourself to do all three all the time. Sometimes you are super creative. Sometimes all you want to do is lie in bed all day and do absolutely nothing.

Listen to your needs. Do you need rest? Do you need inspiration? Do you need to do something fun? Nurture your creative soul with inspirational books and pretty things. Be kind to yourself if you don’t meet your own expectations.

How are you doing on these three? Thirty seconds of reflection time! What small thing can you do to change it for the better?

NO MAGIC WITHOUT PLAY! I love it. <3 I need to do a little more of all three, actually.

I need a bit of rest to keep focusing.
Life’s a challenge, making it fun and creative is what’s worth taking it. :)
