I think the fun of painting is in creating dream worlds in which anything is possible.
Ever since I folded 1000 paper cranes, I have become attached to this little origami symbol of joy and peace. I have thought of incorporating them into a painting before, but my idea somehow always lacked something. Until I figured that the cranes shouldn’t be lifeless attributes in a still life, but moreover be creatures that had come to life in a vivid imaginary daydream.
I have been working on this painting over the last few days. I love it when you finish your hard work and can finally look at a completed image.
What dream would you love to see come alive in a painting?
