My Kindness Kit includes a number of ladybirds and printed clover templates that you can cut out. I went for a stroll around the block to spread some of these ladybirds for people to find. I purposely included a few spots where children play a lot. After all, children seem to have a particular talent to recognise and treasure small, happy surprises.
When I got back to my house I found out I forgot my key and locked myself outside (this time it was just my chaotic self, not the fact that I was in a hurry). My roommate saved the day by arriving half an hour later to open the door for me though.
It can be the tiniest thing that makes the biggest impact at times. How do you handle the small things? Do you actively use them to bring others joy? Are you open to the big and small gifts that are given to you everyday? They don’t always take the form of ladybirds you know… Sometimes they are disguised as smiles, compliments, a helping hand, a tiny prayer, a beam of sunshine, the first bright flowers of spring or a roommate with a key. But you need to be able to recognize them when they are in front of you.
What small things make you happy today?
If you want a Kindness Kit of your own, be sure to enter the giveaway. My kit is also for sale in my Etsy shop.

I’m really good at seeing the good in most things, unless I’m the one who’s down in the dumps. Right now I’m having a hard time finding any good in all the snow we got.

I feel you. Maybe you can make a snowman? We didn’t have any snow this winter…

Eep, they’re so cute! Today has been starting off slowly for me, but all in all, the sunrises and sunsets have been making me very happy lately!
