At the beginning of this month, the interactive fountain installation I designed was showcased at TEDxBrainport. People could try out my prototype and other cool experiences between the talks. It was a daunting task to get everything ready and I was quite anxious about every possible scenario I could imagine going wrong. But everything went well. It was a great day and I feel grateful for the opportunity.

I recorded some videos during the day, and edited it into a small compilation. Above is the result in case you want to get a quick impression of people interacting with my design during the event. Also, Karel Tsang wrote a cool article on my fountain design if you want to read more.

Yeah it was quite a challenge. I programmed everything myself; the fountains are on the market and they behave the way you program them. But mostly they are used quite statically

Me too! So far I only tested it on a couple of users, so it was quite fun to see so many people interact with it (I loved the guy walking backward haha)

haha I know, and also with complete laptops in backpacks etc. I was terrified the whole time that somehow my installation would malfunction. I think I was more nervous than they were.
