I thought I’d share something that makes me happy, related to what I said last post about getting all nostalgic about summer.
Trampolines. And jumping on them. Whenever I feel down or restless and jump for a couple of minutes, I always end up feeling better. I think that is what almost-flying does to you. Actually I think that is what physical activity does to you, but I prefer to think it is the split-second illusion of you believing you conquered gravity.
By the way, have you ever jumped on the ground again directly after jumping on a trampoline? It is so strange. It is like you actually can feel the earth pull you down and you just became double the mass of a super heavy version of you. I think it is what lead would feel if it had feelings.
Anyway, I made a little sentimental movie for you guys of the thing: it was taken during some first summer days a couple of months ago. So now you can come here and dream along with me of trampolines and sunshine any time of the year. Isn’t that swell?

Cute movie!
…and nteresting thoughts about a trampoline.
I love jumping on trampolines with my little guy and sometimes I don’t know who’s enjoying it more… ;)

Did you watch any of the Olympic trampolining? It turned out to be my absolute favourite event. Superheroes!
I now want a trampoline.

No I didn’t, but I can imagine! I am too scared to do anything fancy on a trampoline though. Saltos even are a bit too high up my league haha.

Marielle:) Thank you so much for the sweet comment! I see that you are an artist and I can’t wait to look through all of your beautiful art! I love art!! I also LOVE the Netherlands!! We were there a few years ago, and I loved Haarlem…we went to the Corrie Ten Boom House (the lady that helped save many Jews during WWII). It was amazing! My husband and I are actually going back next summer to Rotterdam because we have a dutch friend who is getting married! I can’t wait! Where are you? Have a wonderful day girl, love Katie

Awesome that you visited our tiny country! I haven’t been to that, I have been to the Anne Frank House though. I am in Eindhoven, still studying, but I love to make art in my free time :)

Trampolines are so much fun. I must admit I prefer jumping alone or just with another person who is just enjoying the jumping and not being wild because I have some crazy fear of breaking my neck after a close call in my early teens, but if I had a trampoline of my own I would be jumping all the time…well, when not pregnant. :)

Wow that sounds scary. When you are with 2 it’s cool because the one can kind of launch the other when jumping in the right moment. I do that with my sister sometimes :)

Trampoline is a good source of fun and exercise. There are many health benefits of jumping on trampoline.

fun fun fun fun fun! we use to have one in our backyard, and my daughter and her friends loved that thing. but one night her girlfriend fell off and dislocated her arm, so my husband wasn’t comfortable having it as a liability in our yard anymore, so we gave it away:( but it was fun while it lasted. I could only do very tiny jumps, barely on it:) such a cute video and cute music.

That’s awful! But I can imagine that event shook things up a little bit. But at least you got to enjoy it for some time right? :)

My bestfriend’s neighbor has a 12ft trampoline Australia at their home. It’s so much fun seeing her kids bouncing up and down. Would love to try it too!

Yes I think the one at my parent’s place is about as big. I don’t jump that often anymore, but every now and then I give it a go and love it!
