One of the things I wanted to do this summer was make a kite. I once made a kite together with my grandfather years ago when I was a kid, which probably was the trigger for this desire of mine in the first place. So when visiting my grandparents, I asked my grandfather if he would like to make a kite with me. He ended up teaching me all kinds of little tricks which I would never have come up with by myself. It was great. Our kite didn’t fly that well, but the ones that were stacked away above a high closet (probably the ones we once made) turned out to still work pretty good after all those years.

How lovely. Who cares if they even fly! You still have a grandfather… and you got to spend all day together!
