I transformed an old sweater (with holes in the sleeves) I had laying in my closet for a long time into a simple top. Oh yeah, that first picture shows how super fly I think I am in it.

Speaking of sewing projects, yesterday I attended my first sewing class and I am in love! I’m going to take lessons every other week and one major thing I want to learn is how to draw patterns from scratch and really construct and design. First I need to make a ground model of myself so I can use that to make clothing for myself. I am so excited!

I have sewed before, my mother taught me some basic skills and I like to experiment every now and then by doing little projects. However, I can’t wait to learn more technical skills from someone with a background in fashion. It will be such fun!

(I’m over at ‘Pursuit of Felicity‘ with a sponsor introduction post if you want to check out why I started blogging & what I like about it)

What a super cute top! And a super cute idea! If I were at all sewing-inclined, I might try to do something like this too. But since I am not, I’ll have to stick to the regular sweatshirts I have ; ]

P.S.–The shirt you painted in your last post is gorgeous!

Thank you :) I always end up making holes and stains in every single piece of clothing I own.. And then wear them too long. So there is a point where I need to say byebye to my sweatshirts :p

That’s a fun idea. I had fun making thi, but don’t know how I would feel about making 20 of them. If every piece was unique perhaps.. :) I think I would rather open up something with paintings if I would. Still like the idea though!

This is such a great idea. I love the color of the top. It is so cool that you wear able to transform it into something new. Good luck with the sewing lessons :]
