In Lopburi we visited the Phra Kan Shrine Temple, aka the ‘monkey temple’ (I know, how awesome is that). I love monkeys. They are so silly. If I would believe in reincarnation, I would think I was one in a former life.

Check out this monkey spying on the traffic. He was sitting there like a police officer ready to fine the next car with the nerve to misbehave:

and how about this greedy fellow:

A tree grew around the head of this Buddha statue:

And of course I didn’t want to spare you my first attempt to make jumping pictures. I think I look like an awkward bird in this one. A happy one though (“I can fly! I can fly!”).

And some more temple pictures. These pieces of fabric are mostly donations. They are for the monk clothing.

Oh my goodness! Imagine just walking out your door and finding monkeys?! They seem to be behaving like, well, little monkeys!

Thanks for the sweet comment on my wedding post :)

I explored a bunch of your new and old posts, gorgeous pictures from Thailand and I’m in LOVE with the giraffe painting you’re working on in your About section. So amazing that you’ve lived all those places, very cool!

Happy you found me so I could find you ♥

@ Florianne: Haha explains all the drooling :p

@ Style Dilettante: I know! They were just walking on the side walk, climbing on the walls of stores and chilling in the ruines. Crazy world!

@ Mia: Me too! I think you summed that up nicely :)

@ Daydream retreat: Thanks so much and welcome to my blog! I finished the painting a while ago, you can find a post about it here: http://magicaldaydream.blogspot.com/2011/05/giraffe-painting.html If you liked it you might want to check out my other art work under the category paintings/illustrations :) It’s not that much yet, but I intend to keep my collection growing…
