As the date indicates in the corner, this illustration is made quite some time ago. It was my first attempt to draw something in pop-art style. I used markers, a fineliner and pastels. Looking at it makes me want to draw comic books…

Wow this is great, I wish I could shade like that. You’d be great at doing comic books.

Oh, you’ve done a great job! It looks great.

And thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it!
Dalí is one of my very favourite painters. And trust me, it was difficult to choose one single quotation from the whole book! The sentence about madness you wrote is perfect, too, and I also love all the thing about the elephant skulls (do you remember the situation with these two stupid architects? “I can’t imagine my summer without elephant skulls” :D) Despite he keep saying he never tells jokes, he is damn funny, sometimes :D

Wow thanks to you all! Haha in one day my number of followers just raised with 100% because of you (obviously that doesn’t say a thing). I plan to share more illustrations in the near future.

@ crazy pig: Yes! I do remember that part (although I almost forgot, thanks for reminding me) That was hilarious. I guess you are right and there are many parts that could be quoted. Reading the book made me realize how crazy he really was. Although I find his artwork a bit sinister at times, I do think it is beautiful.
