It’s a heart and you can eat it. Enough said.

Well, except for this. Although the title doesn’t suggest it, this tasty toast shouldn’t be reserved to Valentine’s day only. Think mother’s day, birthday, Sunday, random surprise your lover day, self-love day, whatever day. Waiting for a specific date to make heart shaped food is just plain silly.

Use a cookie cutter to cut out a heart shape from a slice of bread.

Bake one side of the bread with some oil or butter in a pan. Flip bread. Break an egg into the heart and bake until done.

Even though I think Valentine’s day is another comercial day like chidren’s day or mother’s day, I think this is a really cute idea to surprise your beloved one for breakfast <3

I know, that’s why I felt like stating explicitly that it shouldn’t be about Valentine’s day really, more about the cuteness/romance/fun :)
