Normal people buy Smarties because their 6 year old is having a birthday party and they want all the kids to be hyped up, running around the room from the sugar rush, so they will all sleep well at night.

I buy Smarties because I want to color-sort them and make rainbows and hearts. So that’s what I did. I played a bit with the colors and shapes for a while. The only problem: the Smarties kept telling me to eat them. That made the process a bit harder, especially because there were less and less colors to work with.

I didn’t run around my room. Partially because my room is rather small. I did sleep well though.

Ha ha, this has made my day!
I’ve never played with smarties, only gobbled them up, but i do play with colours when it comes to my crocheting. I love choosing colours and thinking of different colourful bags!

    Have a colourful weekend.

I do this too! A colleague of mine once decorated a Birthday cake with smarties, she made a tiger face out of them, it was amazing your post just reminded me of it :)

That’s awesome! I actually was more ambitious before I started, wanted to make some big famous piece of art like the mona lisa or something. but then I quickly realised I would need a lot more to accomplish that. Super fun idea for a cake though :)

I know right? And during the process I was telling myself “no, you are gonna regret that, you will need one extra of that colour in the end” And then still ate them :p

Are these called smarties where you live? They look like the Skittles we have here. Our Smarties are kind of powdery flat candies with dents (for lack of a better word) on both sides. I learned something new! Woohoo! : ]

And I love all your pictures. I am definitely only the eat-them-all-up-right-now kind of person. I’m glad there are creative people like you in the world who think to take pictures with al sorts of things like candy : ]

In Canada, and I’m guessing in Europe, smarties are candy coated chocolates like M&Ms! The powdery smarties that I’ve had in the states, we call Rockets. Weird, huh?

Thanks for explaining Katherine, I didn’t know the states has smarties that are not smarties :p But the way I know them, they are indeed the candy coated chocolates. These are mini though, normally they are slightly bigger. that’s probably why they are a bit less flat and look somewhat like skittles.

    @ Hena: thanks :)

@ Mariana: That’s true. Whaha guilty as charged? :p

@ shakti: does that has something to do with the discussion on smarties and rockets earlier in the comments?
