I have another ‘Spread the love’ post for you guys. Spread the love is about initiatives of people all around the blogosphere that make a positive contribution in any way. Today I have a guest from Denmark who will share something about her attempt to make her hometown less boring. Here we go:

Hi! I’m a street artist and I am blogging at Boring Borup. For almost a year ago I went for a walk in my hometown Borup. I noticed how boring and grey the town is and how sad people seemed. I thought about what I could do, and with inspiration from incredible people, I realized that I wanted to do street art. My first project was called ‘paper planes’ I folded these paper planes and hung them up with sewing thread and tape. And it just felt awesome! from the beginning I didn’t thought of making a blog, but I felt I would share it with the world and after my eighth project I made my blog ‘Boring Borup’. Now after almost a year I have made 29 projects, everything from smiling trash cans to rubber ducks in the lake. I really love it and to give people a smile on the face, it gives me a kick in the everyday; I would recommend that everyone did the same!

This is amazing! I’ve done similar little things, but nothing quite as cool. I’ve left notes in my favourite books in bookstores, and put up ‘Take A Smile’ posters in public, it’s fun. :)

I really love your blog, it always puts me in a great mood. :) So I have decided to award you with the Versatile Blogger Award. You can check out the details on my blog, and thank you for continuously posting wonderfully happy posts. :)

That’s awesome! I love the idea of this whole thing:) I definitely try to make things around me a little brigher, whether its putting a smile on someone’s face or cleaning up garbage. But nothing like that!

Love! Giving me all sorts of ideas… My current town is slightly dull as well. Probably could use a few paper plane trees… :)

Yeah you should! How cool would it be if in little town all over the world girls would unite to make their towns more colorful?

WOW! I love this… I’ve left knitted tags and stickers around my town to make people smile! And started a wish tree too! xx
